Why you need a parking permit in France
In France, nobody may privately occupy a public street without a permit from the authorities. For a removal van, a delivery truck, a skip or a furniture lift, that means a temporary parking permit from the town hall: an "arrêté de stationnement" or, in some cities such as Paris, an "AOT".
Without it, you can only park on a free legal space like any other driver. Double parking costs a €35 fine, parking on the pavement or a cycle lane €135, and the vehicle can be towed away.
What we do for you
- We identify the right department and procedure in the town hall of your address.
- We file the application, in French, with the documents and within the deadline the municipality requires.
- Our sign installers place the official no-parking signs with the permit displayed, within the timeframe set by the municipality, and send you time-stamped photos.
- After your move, we remove the signs.
Anywhere in France, one point of contact
Our network of 180+ sign installers covers over 98% of France, from central Paris to rural villages and several border areas. Every municipality has its own form, deadlines and fees: we know them, so you don't have to.
Clear prices
Sign placement and removal: €59 excl. VAT. Permit application: €14.90 excl. VAT on its own, or €2.50 excl. VAT added to a sign placement. Some municipalities charge their own fee for occupying the street; we tell you the amount before you confirm and pass it on at cost.
For every kind of job
- Moves: a space for the removal van at the door, at the departure address, the arrival address or both.
- Furniture and appliance deliveries: the truck parks in front of the building instead of double parking.
- Works: room for a skip, a scaffolding, a work van or a furniture lift.
- Events and film shoots: spaces for technical vehicles, guests and suppliers.
How it works, step by step
- You send us the address, the dates and the vehicle size.
- We file the application with the town hall and follow it up until the permit is issued.
- Our sign installers place the official signs with the permit displayed, within the timeframe set by the municipality, and upload time-stamped photos to your account.
- After your job, we remove the signs.
Why time-stamped photos matter
In most French towns, a vehicle parked in your space can only be towed if the signs were in place before it arrived, within the timeframe set by the municipality. Our geolocated, time-stamped photos prove exactly when the signs were placed. The City of Rouen, for example, expressly recommends them.

FAQ
How far in advance should I apply?
As early as possible. Municipalities require from a few days to several weeks: at least 15 days in Paris, 14 days in Nantes, 10 working days in Lille. We tell you your town's deadline when you contact us.
Do I need to speak French?
No. Write to us in English: we deal with the town hall in French and keep you informed.
Can you do it if I am still abroad?
Yes. Everything is handled remotely: you send us the address and dates, we take care of the rest and send you the photos.
How many spaces do I need?
As a rule of thumb, 2 to 3 spaces (10 to 15 metres) for a 20 m³ removal van, more with a furniture lift or a second vehicle. Tell us the vehicle size and we adjust.
What if a car is parked in my space?
Outside Paris, if the signs were placed within the town's timeframe, the police municipale can have the vehicle towed; our photos serve as proof. In Paris, the moving permit does not allow towing, but it lets you use any free space in the nearby paid-parking lane.
